Delhi High School Winter Sports Recap
Delhi High School student-athletes delivered an exciting and successful winter season across the board, highlighted by league championships, playoff appearances, and continued program growth.
The DHS girls basketball team made tremendous strides this season, showing significant improvement and competitiveness throughout the winter. With a strong foundation now in place, the Hawks are poised to carry this positive momentum into the 2026–27 season.
On the boys side, DHS basketball put together an outstanding campaign. The Hawks finished second in the Southern Athletic League and secured a Division IV playoff berth. It was truly an amazing season for the boys, who demonstrated consistency, toughness, and high-level play on the court.
Both the DHS boys and girls wrestling teams continued their tradition of excellence. Each program enjoyed another very successful season, which culminated last weekend at the Masters meet. The wrestlers’ hard work and dedication were evident all year long.
Girls soccer showed resilience and determination throughout the season. Their efforts earned them a Division V playoff berth, sending the Hawks on the road to Sonora in the opening round of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Playoffs. The team’s grit and perseverance were on full display all season.
Capping off the winter campaign in spectacular fashion, the DHS boys soccer team captured the Southern Athletic League Championship with a perfect 12–0 record in league play. The Hawks advanced to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section quarterfinals, where they battled not only a tough opponent but also harsh weather conditions, as rain, sleet, and snow all became factors in the match.
Congratulations to all of our Delhi High School winter athletes and coaches on a memorable season. The future remains bright for Hawk athletics!
